Ed A.

Ed grew up in Maryland and following a 4-year enlistment in the Navy, he returned to the University of Maryland for his undergrad and Medical School education. He completed an Orthopedic residency program at the Medical College of Georgia and a sports medicine fellowship on the West Coast. Ed went into practice in Cartersville, Georgia, and in 2021, after 33 years of serving patients, he retired. Ed feels it was an honor and a privilege to serve his community. He is also a commercial pilot and flight instructor; in his retirement he gets to spend more time in the air flying to visit his daughters and grandsons, flying to the beach, and teaching others to fly. Ed and his wife, Sandy, recently celebrated 42 years of marriage.
