Daniel J. Vredeveld, CFP®
Senior Financial Advisor
Dan is passionate about building exceptional relationships with Richmond Brothers’ family of clients. By pursuing continuous learning opportunities, he is constantly improving his ability to provide the best guidance to clients and their families as they live out their retirement journeys.
Dan got his start in 2011 as a financial advisor with a big box firm. However, he felt discouraged with the product pushing and cookie-cutter approach required by the corporate office. Dan yearned for a culture that celebrated each unique individual and provided a comprehensive financial planning approach (rather than forcing people into a certain product). He found the perfect fit in Richmond Brothers in 2012 and hasn’t looked back.
Dan passed the Series 66 and Series 7 exam in 2011 and earned his Certified Financial Planner certification in 2015. The designation comes with extensive training in financial planning, estate planning, insurance, investments, taxes and retirement planning. In addition, he is a member of Ed Slott’s Master Elite IRA Advisor Group, having over five years of instruction and rigorous testing. This group is an assembly of financial advisors dedicated to solving one of the country’s most complex financial problems: effectively managing the distribution of assets from Individual Retirement Accounts (IRAs). He has a Bachelor of Science in finance from Grand Valley State University. In addition, his articles have been published on TheStreet.com.
Dan meets regularly with clients to review their portfolio performance and specific investment holdings, as well as to review the current market environment. In addition, Dan is the first advisor point of contact for new prospective clients and serves as our client Social Security benefits liaison.
When he’s not in the office, Dan enjoys spending time with his wife, Mallory, daughters, Emelia and Eloise, and son, Elliot. He also is an avid sports buff (Go Blue!) and loves to read.
