David S. Richmond, CAP®, CLU®, ChFC®

David is a founding partner and chairman of Richmond Brothers, Inc. (RBI) where he has been responsible for the strategic planning of RBI and its affiliates, led the creation of RBI private funds, and sits as committee chairman for overall client asset allocation. RBI private funds specialize in (but are not limited to) biotech, pharma, specialty pharma, and medical device companies. RBI private funds prefer to focus on disruptive companies developing their first drug or device changing the paradigm in the area in which they operate.

David entered the financial services industry at the age of 18 and started working as a financial planner at the age of 20 while attending Michigan State University.  He earned his Master of Science in Financial Services (MSFS) as well as his Chartered Advisor in Philanthropy designation from the American College. He has a passion for focusing on philanthropic planning to help clients support the organizations that matter most to them in life and in perpetuity. David serves as the CEO of Bioventrix, Inc. as well as serving on their board. In addition, he serves on the board of The Lingap Children’s Foundation and The David and Stephanie Richmond Family Foundation.

David credits his beautiful bride, Stephanie, and their two children, Taylor and Hunter, for his inspiration and energy. His many interests include sports, anything competitive, and reading. He is also an advanced open-water certified scuba diver and licensed general aviation pilot.
