We are so happy to announce our newest team member, Matt Pirner, to our Richmond Brothers’ family! Matt will be serving as our Chief Compliance Officer, maintaining Richmond Brothers’ steady course of regulatory compliance and ensuring our firm flourishes under that endeavor. He comes to us with a fantastic background of 10 years of experience in compliance working with hundreds of registered investment advisers and consulting Chief Compliance Officers all over the country.

Based in sunny California, Matt enjoys running, loves to cook and considers himself quite the “foodie.” A true wanderlust, he loves to chase good weather wherever it goes! Cartagena, Colombia has been one of his favorite vacations to date and he’s looking forward to his next destination. Although he’s been working directly for us for just a short time, we’ve had a few years working with Matt in a compliance capacity. He has told us his favorite thing about working with Richmond Brothers has been the entire staff’s sense of humor. He said, “It’s such a good, lasting feeling to enjoy working with people.” Find out a few more fun facts about Matt below.

• Most unusual item in desk drawer – Pencils. I have no use for pencils but keep them anyway.
• Any hidden talents most people don’t know about? – I make kombucha.
• Something funny or endearing about a pet(s) – Living in NYC’s meatpacking district and walking your dog is not easy to do!
• Guilty pleasure – Long Harley Davidson motorcycle trips. Restoring café racers. Every Ducati; all of them.
• Craziest thing you’ve ever done – Cliff diving in La Jolla
• Best meal you’ve ever had – Cuzco Cocina Peruana (Cartagena, Colombia)
• Favorite family tradition – Helping my mom around the house every chance I get to visit.
