We’re excited to introduce you to Ryan, Richmond Brothers’ 2026 Forerunners Scholarship recipient!

This fall, he’s beginning his college experience at Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) in Rochester, New York, where he’ll be studying mechanical engineering. Richmond Brothers is proud to support him with a $1,000 scholarship as he gets started.

His connection to the program comes through his grandmother, Karen B., a member of the Jackson Forerunners chapter. The Forerunners represents the interests of Consumers Energy and CMS Energy retirees, providing fellowship, support, information and resources to its members. Its scholarship program is one of the ways the organization supports the next generation.

This year, six students will each receive a $1,000 scholarship through the program.

Supporting What’s Next

At Richmond Brothers, we spend a lot of time talking about what’s next — and helping people feel more confident about whatever that next chapter may bring.

Usually, that means working alongside the individuals and families we serve as they prepare for retirement and beyond. But through the Forerunners Scholarship Program, we get to be part of a very different kind of beginning: one where the possibilities are just starting to unfold.

Our support of the Forerunners Scholarship Program goes back more than a decade, and we love having the opportunity to encourage students as they head out into the world and begin building futures of their own.

For Ryan, that starts at RIT.

Just imagine where that first step might lead.

Mechanical engineering will bring plenty of learning, problem-solving, designing and creating — and we’re happy to play a small part in helping Ryan get started.

Ryan, congratulations on your scholarship and this exciting start to college. We wish you all the best at RIT and in the years ahead.

We can’t wait to see what you build next.
